Option 1: Songdo Green Home Rental Apartment

 

General Information
  • Size: 130.10㎡
  • Facilities: 4 rooms, a living room, a kitchen, and 2 bathrooms
  • Location: Low energy eco-friendly homes. 2 homes on 2nd floor and 2 homes on 3rd floor
  • Equipped with TV, refrigerator, washer machine, bed, desk, sofa
Order of Approval Priority
  • Qualification
    - Foreign Faculty
    - Korean Faculty & Staff
  • Associated Department or Major
    - UIC Campus major
    - Sinchon Campus major
  • Employment Track
    - Tenure Track
    - Non-tenure Track
  • Family size (large families are given priority)
Rental Conditions
  • Term: max. 4 semesters
    Extensions may be possible if no tenants are awaiting housing
  • Contract renewals: apply each semester
Rental Fees
  • Estimated KRW 7,200,000 - 7,800,000/semester
    - Exact amount announced each semester
  • Deposit: KRW 1,200,000
  • All fees and deposits are to be paid up-front each semester
  • Utilities (electricity, heating, water) are not included in rental cost and must be paid separately
  • Facility deposit will be returned after the contract has ended

Option 2: Songdo Campus Faculty Room

 

General Information
  • Room size: 105㎡~221㎡
  • Max. number of residents: 3 - 4 people (each room has a different capacity)
  • Fees: KRW 4,000,000 - 4,500,000 per semester
    - Exact amount announced each semester
  • Equipped with TV, refrigerator, washer machine, microwave, bed, desk
Conditions
  • Dormitory fees include utility fees (electricity, heating, water)
  • Dormitory fee is based on a 16 week (regular semester) standard. If one stays for 16 weeks, break time (8 weeks) will be provided for free of charge.
  • Pets are not allowed.
  • Tenants are responsible for any damages to the room, appliances, or furniture.
