  • About the USLS

The USLS is our signature program which fosters young leaders’ initiative and capacity to initiate socially meaningful projects, address issues such as climate change, poverty, and inequality. With the collaboration of UN agencies and partner government departments, delegates are empowered to start-up their own projects to directly contribute towards the realization of the UNSDGs.

We are expecting approximately 1,200 emerging world leaders from over 100 United Nations Member States to participate in this prestigious youth leadership event, which focuses on developing leaders to bring about social change. Our Strategic Knowledge Partners include UNEP, UNESCO, UNHCR, UNDRR, UNFPA, UN-WOMEN, IOM, and other UN agencies.

More than 10,000 emerging world leaders have participated and benefitted from the USLS, including one UN official who has participated in several of our events.

I am delighted to recommend the incredible work and activities of Humanitarian Affairs Asia, a work that I have witnessed for the past years as I have participated at several conferences organized by them in Thailand and Malaysia. The capacity of Humanitarian Affairs Asia to convene brilliant minds, inspire young audiences, lead important and relevant conversations, instill a sense of duty and rightness in today’s youth, and contribute to building stronger, resilient, and inclusive communities and societies, is like nothing else I have ever encountered in civil society.
