  • Online Exchange Session on MEIG Programme (University of Geneva)

  • Program Summary:

    The University of Genevais is inviting you for an exchange session on the Master of Advanced Studies on European and International Governance (MEIG Programme). 

    This interdisciplinary programme of the University of Geneva in cooperation with UNOG, combining an academic and more practical oriented teaching and training, is designed for graduates and professionals working or willing to work in international organizations, UN Agencies, NGOs, National administration and ministries as well as in the private sector dealing with public affairs issues. The objective of this session is to discuss the interactions between these different actors on the challenges we are facing today in terms of governance.  

    Our aim is not only to respond to the needs and wishes of young thought leaders to better tackle global challenges in an ever more evolving multilateral environment but to improve the skills of the next generations by creating a pathway to hand down the most valuable experiences of current leaders.

     

    Agenda:

    • Prof. Christine Kaddous, Director of the MEIG Programme, Introduction to the MEIG Programme and to the challenges of global governance today,
    • Mr. Mattia De Pasquale, participant in the current edition of the MEIG Programme, will explain how he perceives the interaction between the knowledge acquired in the Master programme and his practical experience at the EU Delegation.
    • Ms. Valeria A. Escalona Medina, participant in the current edition of the MEIG Programme, will share her experiences in security issues bringing her perspective from the global South.
    • Exchange of views with all the participants to the session.
