The APRU Virtual Student Exchange (VSE) Program makes international education accessible by allowing students to take academic courses and participate in co-curricular programs without the need to leave home. It opens up international education opportunities for all students of APRU member universities by providing an immersive virtual student exchange experience through digital technologies and platforms and creating encounters with new ideas, cultures, experts and students from around the world. Registrations are free of charge.

APRU “Global Perspectives on Anti-Asian Racism: Overcoming The Hate” Webinar Series

While anti-Asian racism has already existed globally, the re-emergence of geopolitical tensions, inequities and even violence are now in sharp focus because of the Covid-19 crisis and has revealed the rising and rampant hate.
This is a critical time for understanding and serious dialogue. Bringing together university students, experts, and leaders, APRU universities are creating a space to share knowledge and experience to have difficult conversations across the Asia-Pacific region. This dialogue is designed to open the door for more understanding of racially targeted hate and the ways that these ideas circulate and have influence of our daily lives.

A Book Talk with Native Scholar Professor Tsim D. Schneider

Professor Schneider’s book, The Archaeology of Refuge and Recourse, explores the dual practices of refuge and recourse among Indigenous peoples of California. Applying theories of place and landscape, Schneider (Citizen of Graton Rancheria) argues for a new direction in the archaeology of colonialism.
This book offers insight about the critical and ongoing relationships Indigenous people maintained to their homelands despite colonization and systematic destruction of their cultural sites. In this book talk, Professor Schneider will discuss the topic with Dr. Peter A. Nelson and Nick Tipon, fellow citizens of his tribe.
