We are the creators, shapers, and movers of the future not only just for the Asia-Pacific region but also for the rest of the world. With the theme, “Sahaya: Science and Arts Harnessing the Youth’s Advocacies”, this year’s ULP will be hosted by the University of the Philippines (https://www.up.edu.ph) from 18 - 29 October 2021.
ULP 2021 will immerse youth leaders to the challenges of a developing country in the Asia-Pacific through a 12-day program of virtual lectures and workshops with proactive and interactive sessions on creativity, innovation, and empowerment together with local and international experts from the fields of Science and the Arts.More Info COVID-19 Survey & Multi-Hazards Summer Lecture Series COVID-19 Survey

Disruptions to the healthcare system due to COVID-19 have been seen around the world. The Global Health Program’s Working Group on Non-Communicable Diseases, led by Dr Martin Wong from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, has formed a team made up of 22 researchers from 13 Pacific Rim economies to develop and implement a comprehensive survey on behavioral insights and perceived consequences of COVID-19.
We ask everyone to complete this by July 15, as well as to share it widely among all networks (personal and professional).
A raffle will be held for gift cards of US$50. The survey is provided in English, Canadian English and Simplified Chinese.Multi-Hazards Summer Lecture Series

This Series will provide an opportunity to learn and discuss a social system required for a resilient society from different perspectives. Particularly the course will focus on necessary approaches and mechanisms that can tackle multiple-hazards through four lectures on infrastructure resilience, cyber-physical systems, and science-based risk management and community resilience.

Deadline Extended: End of JuneVSE Season 1 Launched More Info CAPRS Non-Residential Fellowship The University of Auckland’s Centre for Asia Pacific Refugee Studies (CAPRS) focuses on generating evidence-based and high-impact research to support persons forcibly displaced by climate or conflict-based situations. To further this mission, CAPRS is proud to introduce the Non-Residential Fellowship (NRF), an opportunity focused on supporting impact-oriented research across the Asia Pacific. The goal of this program is to create a supportive platform for scholars who have completed a masters or doctoral thesis related to forced displacement in the Asia Pacific region with a focus on converting their research into action-oriented impact.
The NRF programme will offer five fellowships with a stipend of NZ $12,000 over a period of six months to support researchers in converting their masters/PhD thesis into an action-oriented policy paper. This is a remote opportunity with no travel required from any of the fellows.
