Yesports, in partnership with APRU, is convening Esports leaders from related industries, higher education, legal institutions, regulation, and Esports associations to share their experiences and challenges in understanding and participating in the Esports ecosystem. These discussions will empower participants to make the most informed decision about participating in Esports and assist in exploring their career opportunities for the future.

With an average retirement age of 25 for professional gamers, a career in Esports has been long stigmatized. Now with much more robust career offerings throughout the entire ecosystem, players can see beyond the gamer role as viable career pathway.  With the typical age group of these aspirational players falling into the age band of college-bound students, administrators and university leaders must also consider providing safeguards and protections for their students.

The series aims to offer a platform for understanding and sharing best practice for education institutions and gamers to discuss:

• Contracts for gamers (from underage students to adults)
• Best practices for gamers to join in tournaments abroad
• Protections for working in the industry globally: working with sponsors, media, team managers, coaches etc.
• Career exploration
