The Individual Visiting Program offers qualified students from non-partner institutions the opportunity to study at Yonsei University for one semester.
Selection Process
Please note that the number of students admitted each semester is limited. While applicants may meet all eligibility requirements, admission decisions are made through a competitive internal review process. Selection is based on a range of factors, including academic achievement, completeness and accuracy of submitted materials, and timely submission. Prospective applicants are strongly encouraged to review the program information carefully and ensure that all required documents are submitted by the applicable deadline.
Nomination Deadline (For Partner Institution Coordinators of the Group Visiting Program)
1. Fall Semester: March 1 - April 15
2. Spring Semester: September 1 - October 15
Application Deadline (For Students)
1. Fall Semester : March 1 - April 30
2. Spring Semester : September 1 - October 31
Minimum GPA for Application
- Group Visiting Program: Minimum CGPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
- Individual Visiting Program: Minimum CGPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Language Requirement
Proof of proficiency in either English or Korean is required. All test scores must have been obtained within two years prior to the start of the semester.
1) English : One of the following tests is accepted:
- TOEFL iBT or iBT Home Edition 79 (ITP or MyBest score are not accepted)
- IELTS 6.5
- Cambridge English Exam B2 First (FCE) to C2 Proficiency (CPE)
2) Korean: One of the following tests is accepted:
- KLAT level 4
- TOPIK level 4
- An assessment report by a professor
* Exception:
1) Applicants who are nationals of majority English-speaking countries (e.g., the United States, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland): A passport copy is required
2) Applicants whose home university is located in a majority English-speaking country(same as above): No additional language proof is required; however, this must be clearly indicated on the transcript or Certificate of Enrollment
3) Applicants enrolled in a degree program conducted entirely in English: An official letter from the home university is required

Only for applicants who are required to obtain a D-2(student) visa
(Applicants with Korean nationality or those holding a valid long-term visa, including F-1-F-6, A-1, A-3, or H-2, are not required to apply for a D-2 visa. Applicants who do not require a D-2 visa should not submit these documents)
