• 글로벌 네트워크 Global Network
  양교의 학생교환협정을 통해 세계 우수 대학에서 상대교 학생과 동일한 자격으로 수학합니다. 학점 취득을 목적으로 하며, 교환학생 프로그램으로 학위를 취득할 수는 없습니다.
  Study at top-tier universities worldwide through bilateral agreements, with the same status as the host institution's own students. The program is for earning credits and does not lead to a degree.
• 파견 대학과 인원 Host Universities and Quota
  학생교환협정이 체결된 대학으로만 파견이 가능합니다. 양교의 교환 인원 균형(balance)을 맞추어야 하므로 파견 가능 대학과 인원은 매 학기 변동됩니다.
  Exchange is available only at universities with an active student exchange agreement. Because the number of students exchanged with each partner must stay balanced, the list of universities and the quota change every semester.
  * 해당 학기 배정가능 대학 명단은 Outbound 공지사항으로 안내하며, OIA University Finder에서도 확인할 수 있습니다. The list for each semester is announced on the Outbound notice board and is also available on the OIA University Finder.
• 파견 기간 Duration
  한 학기 또는 두 학기(1년) 파견이 가능합니다. 두 학기 파견을 희망하는 경우 최초 지원 시 파견 기간을 1년으로 신청해야 하며, 배정 이후 기간 연장은 불가합니다.
  Students may participate for either one or two semesters (up to one academic year). Those who wish to study abroad for two semesters must apply for a one-year placement at the time of their initial application; extensions after placement are not permitted.
• 학점 인정 Credit Transfer
  해외에서 취득한 학점은 연세대학교 학점인정 절차에 따라 본교의 학점으로 인정받을 수 있습니다.
  Credits earned abroad can be transferred to Yonsei credits.

• 등록금 납부 Tuition Payment
  교환학생은 연세대학교에만 등록금을 납부합니다. 교환 협정에 따라 파견 대학의 등록금은 면제됩니다.
  ESP students pay tuition to Yonsei only. Host university tuition is waived under the exchange agreement.
  * 숙식비·생활비·보험료 등은 파견대학 기준에 따라 학생 본인이 부담합니다. Room and board, living expenses, and insurance are the student's responsibility, according to the host university's standards.
• 지원 시기 Application Timing
  출국 약 8개월 전에 연세포탈을 통해 지원합니다. 봄학기 파견은 전년도 7월 초, 가을학기 파견은 같은 해 1월 초가 기준입니다.
  Apply through the Yonsei Portal approximately eight months before departure: early July of the previous year for a spring dispatch, and early January of the same year for a fall dispatch.

프로그램 주요 특징 Program Highlights

• 글로벌 네트워크 Global Network
  본교와 방문학생 협정을 체결한 해외대학에서 한 학기 동안 수학하고, 취득한 학점을 본교 학점으로 인정받는 프로그램입니다. 파견은 Study Abroad Foundation(SAF Korea) 회원교로만 가능합니다.
  The Visiting Student Program (VSP) allows students to study for one semester at overseas universities that have a visiting student agreement with Yonsei, earning credits that count toward their Yonsei degree. Placement is available only at member universities of the Study Abroad Foundation (SAF Korea).
• 지원 대상 Eligibility
  학부생에 한해 지원이 가능합니다. 의과대학·치과대학·간호대학 학생 및 대학원생은 지원할 수 없으며, 미래캠퍼스 학생은 미래캠퍼스 국제교육원에 문의하여 지원 가능 여부를 확인해야 합니다.
  The VSP is open to undergraduate students only. Students enrolled in the Colleges of Medicine, Dentistry, or Nursing, as well as graduate students, are not eligible to apply. Mirae Campus students should contact the Mirae International Education Center to confirm their eligibility.
• 파견 기간 Duration
  한 학기만 파견이 가능하며, 기간 연장은 불가합니다.
  Participation is limited to one semester and cannot be extended.
• 학점 인정 Credit Transfer
  해외에서 취득한 학점은 연세대학교 학점인정 절차에 따라 본교의 학점으로 인정받을 수 있습니다.
  Credits earned abroad can be transferred to Yonsei credits.

• 등록금 납부 Tuition Payment
  방문학생은 본교(연세대학교)와 파견 대학 양쪽에 모두 등록금을 납부합니다. 재정 지원을 위해 연세대학교는 VSP 참가자 전원에게 VSP 장학금을 지급하며, 연세대학교 등록금의 80%를 지원합니다.
  VSP students pay tuition fees to both the home university and the host university. To offer financial aid, Yonsei provides the VSP Scholarship which covers 80% of Yonsei tuition to all VSP participants.
  * VSP 장학금은 교내 타 장학금과 중복 수혜가 불가합니다. The VSP Scholarship cannot be combined with any other Yonsei scholarship.
  * VSP 장학금은 해외 파견을 준비하는 연세대학교 재학생을 위한 것으로, 연세대학교 방문학생 프로그램에 참여하는 외국인 유학생은 해당되지 않습니다. This scholarship is for Yonsei students planning to study abroad, not for inbound international students participating in Yonsei's visiting student program.
• 지원 시기 Application Timing
  교환학생과 동일한 일정으로, 출국 약 8개월 전에 연세포탈을 통해 지원합니다.
  The VSP follows the same schedule as the ESP: apply through the Yonsei Portal approximately eight months before departure.

공통 규정 Common Rules

• 정규학기 이내에서만 파견 Within Regular Semesters Only
  해외파견프로그램은 정규학기 중에만 파견이 가능하며, 귀국 후 최종학기는 반드시 본교(연세대학교)에서 수학해야 합니다.
  Students may participate only during their regular semesters of enrollment and must complete their final semester at Yonsei upon return.
• 마지막 학기 파견 Dispatch in the Final Semester
  정규학기의 마지막 학기(4년제 학부생은 8학기, 건축학과 5년제 학부생은 10학기)에 파견하는 경우 한 학기만 파견될 수 있으며, 파견 종료 후 반드시 초과학기를 등록해야 합니다. 출국 전 초과학기 등록에 대한 서약서를 제출해야 합니다.
  Those dispatched during their final regular semester (the 8th semester for 4-year undergraduate programs, or the 10th for the 5-year Architecture program) may study abroad for one semester only and must enroll for an Extra Semester upon completion. An Extra Semester Enrollment Pledge must be submitted prior to departure.
• 파견 중 학적 유지 Enrollment During the Exchange
  파견 기간 중에는 휴학이 불가합니다. 휴학 중에 교환·방문학생으로 선발된 경우, 파견 학기의 복학 신청 기간 내에 복학 신청과 등록금 납부를 모두 완료해야 합니다.
  A leave of absence is not permitted during the exchange period. Students selected while on a leave of absence must complete both the reinstatement application and tuition payment within the designated reinstatement period for the exchange semester.

학생 유형별 파견 가능 시기 Eligible Dispatch Period by Student Type

• 학부생 Undergraduate Students
  한 학기 또는 두 학기(1년) 파견이 가능합니다. 의예과·치의예과 4학기 학생은 진급 심사 종료 전까지 학점 인정을 완료하지 못할 경우, 파견 이후 1학기 일반휴학에 동의하는 조건으로 참가할 수 있습니다.
  Students may participate for either one or two semesters. Fourth-semester students in the Colleges of Medicine and Dentistry may participate only if they agree to take a one-semester leave of absence following the program, should credit recognition not be completed before the promotion review.
• 편입생 Transfer Students
  2학년 편입생은 본교에서 2학기 이상 수학한 후 지원할 수 있으며, 3학년 2학기부터 파견될 수 있습니다. 3학년 편입생은 본교에서 1학기 이상 수학한 후 지원할 수 있으며, 4학년 1학기부터 파견될 수 있습니다.
  Students who transferred in as sophomores must complete at least two semesters at Yonsei before applying and may be dispatched from the second semester of their junior year. Students who transferred in as juniors must complete at least one semester and may be dispatched from the first semester of their senior year.
• 복수전공생·다중전공생 Double and Multi Majoring Students
  졸업예정자 복수전공생은 복수전공 진입 후 첫 학기를 수료하고 두 번째 학기에 휴학하여 파견을 준비한 뒤, 두 번째 학기 기간 중 한 학기 파견이 가능합니다. 캠퍼스 내 복수전공자·다중전공자는 단일전공 학생과 동일하게 8학기까지 파견이 가능합니다.
  Double majoring prospective graduates must complete one semester in the double major, take a leave of absence during the following semester to prepare, and may then participate for one semester during that second semester. On-campus double or multi majoring students are eligible up to the 8th semester, the same as single-major students.
• 대학원생 Graduate Students
  4학기제 석사과정은 3학기 또는 4학기 중 한 학기만 파견이 가능합니다. 5학기제 특수대학원은 3학기부터 한 학기 파견이 가능하나, 대학원별 운영 방식과 학사일정에 따라 제한될 수 있으므로 지원 전 소속 대학원의 사전 승인을 받아야 합니다. 박사과정은 학점 이수(coursework)를 목적으로 하는 경우에 한해 coursework 기간 중 한 학기만 파견이 가능하며, 이미 coursework을 마친 경우에는 지원할 수 없습니다.
  Four-semester master's programs allow one semester during the 3rd or 4th semester. Five-semester special graduate schools allow one semester from the 3rd semester onward, subject to prior approval from the home graduate school, as participation may be restricted by each school's schedule and policies. Doctoral students may participate for one semester during the coursework period only, and are not eligible once coursework has been completed.

쿼터제 대학 파견 Quarter-System Exchange

• 학기 환산 기준 Converting Quarters into Semesters
  두 쿼터가 본교 한 학기에 해당합니다. 1년 파견만 가능한 쿼터제 대학에서 부득이한 사정으로 파견 기간을 단축하는 경우, 반드시 두 쿼터를 수료해야만 한 학기 파견으로 인정받을 수 있습니다. 한 쿼터만 수료할 경우 학점과 학기가 모두 인정되지 않습니다.
  Two quarters count as one Yonsei semester. At quarter-system universities that allow only a one-year exchange, a student who must shorten the period has to complete at least two quarters to have it recognized as one semester. If only one quarter is completed, neither the credits nor the semester will be recognized.
• University of California (UC) Note for UC Applicants
  봄학기(1학기) 파견 시에는 한 학기 또는 1년 파견이 모두 가능하고, 가을학기(2학기) 파견 시에는 반드시 1년 파견만 가능합니다. UC에 배정된 학생은 2차 서류 작성 시 희망 캠퍼스 세 곳을 지망하여 지원하며, 최종 캠퍼스 배정은 UCEAP(University of California Education Abroad Program)에서 결정합니다. 캠퍼스 재배정은 이루어지지 않으며, 원하는 캠퍼스로 배정되지 않았다는 이유로 배정지 변경이나 파견 취소는 불가합니다.
  For a spring dispatch, either one semester or one year is possible; for a fall dispatch, only a full year is allowed. Students placed at UC list three preferred campuses during the second-round application, and the final campus placement is determined by UCEAP. Campus reassignment does not occur, and students may not request a transfer to another institution or cancel their exchange on the grounds of campus placement.
  * 특정 캠퍼스 배정을 희망하는 경우 UC 지원을 권장하지 않습니다. Students who wish to be placed at a specific UC campus are advised not to apply to UC.
• 남반구 대학 Southern Hemisphere Universities
  호주·뉴질랜드 등 남반구에 위치한 대학은 봄학기와 가을학기가 우리나라와 반대입니다.
  Universities in the southern hemisphere, such as those in Australia and New Zealand, have opposite spring and fall semesters.

여러 프로그램에 참가하려면 Combining Programs

• 총 파견 한도 Overall Limit
  국제처 해외파견프로그램은 재학 중 최대 1년(두 학기)까지 참가할 수 있습니다. 파견 학기의 총합이 두 학기를 넘지 않는 범위 내에서 서로 다른 프로그램을 조합할 수 있습니다.
  Students may participate in OIA outbound programs for a maximum of one academic year (two semesters) over the course of their studies at Yonsei. Within this limit, different programs may be combined.
• 프로그램별 제한 Restrictions by Program
  정규학기 교환학생(ESP)은 1회만 파견이 가능하며, 두 학기 파견을 희망하는 경우 최초 지원 시 파견 기간을 1년으로 신청해야 합니다. 정규학기 방문학생(VSP)은 최대 한 학기까지 가능합니다. 하계·동계 파견프로그램은 각 1회만 지원할 수 있습니다.
  The regular-semester ESP is limited to one participation; students wishing to study abroad for two semesters must apply for a one-year placement at the time of their initial application. The regular-semester VSP is limited to a maximum of one semester. Summer and Winter programs may each be applied to only once.
• 비자 유의사항 Note on Visas
  연속하여 파견프로그램에 참가하는 경우 프로그램마다 요구되는 비자의 종류가 다를 수 있으므로, 각 파견국의 비자 요건을 개별적으로 확인해야 합니다. 비자 취득과 관련한 모든 책임은 학생 본인에게 있습니다.
  When participating in consecutive programs, students must verify visa requirements individually for each destination, as visa types may differ from one program to another. All matters related to obtaining a visa are the sole responsibility of the student.

지원하기 전에 반드시 확인하세요 Please Read Carefully

• 영어권·비영어권 전형 중복 지원 불가 No Dual Applications Across Language Tracks
  지원자는 영어권 또는 비영어권 중 하나의 전형만 선택해야 하며, 두 전형에 동시에 지원할 수 없습니다.
  Applicants must select either the English-track or the non-English-track and may not apply to both simultaneously.
• 해외파견은 정규학기 이내에서만 가능 Study Abroad Permitted Only Within Regular Semesters
  정규학기 중에만 파견이 가능하며, 귀국 후 최종학기는 반드시 본교에서 수학해야 합니다. 대학원생 역시 각 과정별로 정해진 정규학기 이내에서만 파견될 수 있습니다. 자세한 사항은 위 '파견 가능 시기 및 기간'을 참고하시기 바랍니다.
  Students may participate only during their regular semesters and must complete their final semester at Yonsei upon return. Graduate students are likewise permitted to study abroad only within the regular semesters designated for their respective programs. See 'Timing and Duration of Study' above for details.
• 파견대학 변경 불가 · 배정 취소 시 제재 Placement is Final and Cancellation Triggers Sanctions
  파견대학 배정 이후 임의로 대학을 변경할 수 없습니다. 대학 배정 후 해외파견을 취소할 경우 패널티가 적용되며, 추후 모든 종류의 국제처 해외파견프로그램에 재지원이 영구 불가합니다.
  Once a host university has been assigned, applicants may not change their placement. Withdrawing from the program after placement will result in penalties and permanent ineligibility for all future OIA exchange programs.
• 파견대학 배정 이후 입학 불허 가능 Admission Is Not Guaranteed After Placement
  파견대학 배정 이후에도 해당 대학으로의 입학허가는 파견대학에서 최종 결정합니다. 파견대학의 입학조건을 충분히 숙지하지 못하여 배정 이후 파견이 취소될 수 있으며, 이에 따른 책임은 지원자 본인에게 있습니다.
  Placement at a host university does not guarantee admission, as the final decision rests with the host institution. Applicants are solely responsible for understanding and meeting the host university's admission requirements; failure to do so may result in the cancellation of their exchange.
• 비자·체류 수속 대행 불가 Visa and Residency Procedures Are Not Handled by OIA
  비자, Residence Permit, Study Permit 등 체류 자격 취득 일체는 학생 본인의 책임입니다. 국제처는 대행 업무를 수행하지 않으며, 필요 서류는 국가마다 다르므로 해당국 대사관 홈페이지를 직접 확인하시기 바랍니다.
  Obtaining the appropriate residency status, including visas, residence permits, and study permits, is entirely the student's responsibility. The Office of International Affairs does not process or assist with these applications. Required documents vary by country, so please consult the relevant embassy website directly.
