Special Programs

Yonsei University boasts a wealth of experience in designing short-term special programs for students from overseas partner institutions since 1996.

Special programs are offered to enable students from our partner institutions to have unique cultural immersion opportunities through specially designed courses and field trips. Through our special programs, students will challenge themselves intellectually and broaden their cultural perspectives.

Recent Programs

Hosei Study Abroad Program
  • Partner Institution: Hosei University, Japan
  • Period: 4 - 5 months
  • Courses: Korean Culture, History, Mass Media, Sociology and Literature
  • Language Course: Yonsei Korean Language Institute Fall Quarter (10 weeks)
  • Activities: Taekwondo, Seoul City Tour, Field Trips in Jeju Island and major provinces, Kimchi-making Activity, Buddy Matching
Keio Spring Program
  • Partner Institution: Keio University, Japan
  • Period: 2 weeks
  • Courses: Korea's International Relations, History, Pop Culture, Political Economy, Environmental Issues & Policy
  • Language Course: Korean Language Class
  • Activities: City Tour, Taekwondo, Gyoung-ju Tour, Buddy Matching
St. Olaf Global Semester
  • Partner Institution: St. Olaf College, United States
  • Period: 4 weeks
  • Courses: Korea's History, Culture, Political Economy, International Relations, North and South Korea, Modern Art
  • Language Course: Korean Language Class
  • Activities: Taekwondo, DMZ, City Tour, Jeonju Village Excursion, Ski Trip
