Cities throughout history have been formed by influxes of people.

One of the major challenges for this is the assimilation of forcibly displaced people into cities in ways which create healthy and equitable living places for all.

Rapid Urbanisation Grand Challenge at UNSW Sydney, with Australian Red Cross, ARUP International Development, UNHCR, and the APRU Sustainable Landscapes and Cities Program Hub have organized a competition to address this challenge.

The winning schemes will be announced at the 2019 APRU Sustainable Cities and Landscapes Conference held at the UNSW Sydney on August 29 - September 1.
